DNF Duel New Fighter Leak Through Files

It looks like the developers have left a DNF Duel new fighter leak behind in their updates.

The popular 2D anime fighter has had a recent leak exposed on Twitter, showing off potential DLC.

But lets take a look at the new fighter and what is to come in the future!

DNF Duel New Fighter Leak Hidden In Files

It happens to the best of us. We all forget our car keys and character models sometimes. But the latest update from Arc Systems DNF Duel may have fallen victim to this common blunder.

Twitter and X user Za_Pyr0 stumbled upon an unintended model when making a short animation. This unused asset turned out to be a fully rendered and modeled fighter not present in the current game.

She appears to be a female nen master sporting a classy getup and hair buns. A classic anime style to be sure, but unfortunately, we dont have any names or anything else to go off of right now.

But judging from her left-over idle animation, she is definitely a non-user. No weapons or tricks, just good old-fashioned fisticuffs and legs, from what I can tell.

Some players have complained, saying she just looks like Striker in a dress. They are not wrong, but I am also not complaining about the thought!

For those wanting to use the model for any up-and-coming projects, feel free to go into their game files and grab the model!

It will be interesting to see her full reveal and what her playstyle will actually look like in the game. Who knows? I may eat my words when she pulls out a gun mid-round.

To the developer who left this little tidbit in the game, dont worry; it happens to the best of us. Just dont take a Nintendo scorched earth approach to the leak!

DNF Duel

DNF Duel is a fighting video game co-developed by Arc System Works, Eighting, and Neople and published by Nexon. It is a spin-off of the Dungeon & Fighter series and was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on June 28, 2022.

A Nintendo Switch port was released on April 20, 2023.

The gameplay is similar to other fighting games developed by Arc System Works but with more simplified mechanics. Like some previous games, the game features simplified inputs to allow new players to get into the game without being put off by complicated controls.

One major difference in this game is the use of an MP bar that is used to activate certain attacks, called skills in the game, similar to the main series games and other RPGs.

Though the bar disappears after each use of a skill, it slowly regenerates over time, unlike the use of special meters found in other fighting games.

Honestly, for those who enjoy 2D fighters and Arc System games, this one is worth a shot. It has a great anime look, and the gameplay is solid. Definitely worth picking up during the Steam Spring sale!
