In September, the President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, Jim Ryan announced he would be stepping down from his role at PlayStation in March 2024. Well, the time has officially come and Jim Ryan has officially said farewell to Sony & PlayStation in an episode of the Official PlayStation Podcast.

On the Podcast, Jim Ryan dropped some surprising news that the PlayStation 2 has sold 160 million units in its lifetime. That statement came at an interesting time since the Nintendo Switch is roughly 20 million units away from reaching that mark and it could most likely reach that.

Now that Jim Ryan is no longer the PlayStation boss, the CFO & COO of Sony, Hiroki Totoki will be the interim boss of PlayStation until they name someone else.

Who do you think will eventually replace Jim Ryan?
