Blumhouse has been hard at work already working on the Five Nights At Freddy’s sequel as soon as the new year came around. Emma Tammi is returning as the director for the film and Josh Hutcherson who played Mike Schmidt, the security guard of Freddy Fazbear’s.

Blumhouse has confirmed that Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 will come to theaters in Fall 2025, just two years after the first movie.

WE ARE CONFIRMING FOR THE FIRST TIME THAT THERE WILL BE A SEQUEL TO FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S, COMING FALL 2025.

This news comes shortly after a tease that Jason Blum posted online of Jim Henson’s Creature Shop working its magic. The image appears to tease Mangle and Toy Bonnie being introduced to Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 which would align with the video game series.

New reports say Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 will have a bigger focus on horror after the first movie was criticized for not being scary enough. Despite what people say about the first movie, it broke records becoming the highest-grossing movie ever for Blumhouse and was the highest-grossing horror film in all of 2023.

The actual release date for Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 has yet to be decided, but we should probably anticipate it being around Halloween once again. 2025 is already looking to be a busy year for video game adaptations with the Minecraft movie being the first big one coming to theaters next April.
