It seems The Art and Making of , art-book for the upcoming game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has gotten out early and into the hands of a small gaming YouTuber who goes by the username of prdalien0.
In the above Video, you can see prdalien0 flip through page by page the entirety of the art book. Based on the Credits found in the back of the book, it seems the book was Printed in the 4th Quarter of 2023 (with a legal deposit date of February 2023) and published by Neamedia in China. This same credit page also mentions thanks to Games Workshop for the help and support of Warhammer 40,00: The Art and Making of and “Collector’s Project”, as well as on the back of the book, a message about how the book cant be sold separately, which means the book will likely be a part of a collectors edition of the game upon launch in September 2024.
Some of the details revealed by looking and reading the pages in the book reveal some details about the upcoming game such as :
- Confirming PvP is Marine x Marine only (The artbook shows classes.)
- There’s Banner and Clan customization for PvP
- Seems there’s a base area which you go to upgrade your main character and pick story missions.
- One of the main characters is named Chairon
- Shows the enemies,levels and bosses (Multiple types of Tyrandis and Chaos Marines)
- Shows all weapons, vehicles and interactive objects (Knifes, boltgun types etc.)
The book also reveals many other details.
In the video, prdalien0 says they were lucky enough to come across someone who was selling the book, although it’s not clear how they managed to get a copy so early.
