Visions of Mana comes to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, and PC on August 29

Square Enix has released a brand new trailer for the next installment of the Mana series, Visions of Mana and it revealed the game will be released August 29, 2024. The trailer for the action RPG shows off new playable characters and gameplay features that players will encounter on their exciting journey.

Visions of Mana is a new story and a mainline entry in the Mana series. It follows the journey of Val, a newly appointed soul guard who is tasked with accompanying his childhood friend Hinna, a chosen alm, to the Tree of Mana.

In the launch date trailer, two new characters named Palamena and Julei are introduced. They become friends with Val and Hinna on their journey through a vast world to reach the Tree of Mana. In Visions of Mana, players can create their three-person dream team and switch between the five playable characters: Val, Careena, Morley, Palamena, and Julei. They will also be supported by companions Ramcoh, Aesh, and Hinna during battles.

Some of the latest gameplay features such as the Elemental Vessels, the mystical artifacts that house the power of the elements within them were featured in the trailer. Players can use the Elemental Vessels to change classes and gain new abilities during battles. With each character possessing their specific class for each Elemental Vessel, players can customize their team lineup to enjoy a flexible, fast-paced fighting style.

Visions of Mana will release on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Although Square Enix has showcased the game at prior Xbox events, it will not be available on Xbox Game Pass.
