PlayStation Exclusive Foamstars has reportedly lost over 90% of its player base

In February, Square Enix released Foamstars exclusively on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 while also making the game available to PlayStation Plus subscribers in February. Foamstars did have a better debut than Helldivers 2 when it comes to most players in a week, but its player base has fallen a lot since the release month.

According to TrueTrophies, Foamstars’ player count has lost over 94% of its PS4 and PS5 player count. This comes from their partnership with GameInsights which has gameplay data from over 3.1 million active PSN accounts. TrueTrophies also said Foamstars lost 54% of its player base in just two weeks of its release. The outlet says it is a “conservative estimate” and they do not have all of the numbers but have enough evidence that Foamstars is not doing well.

Foamstars is also not even in the Top 200 PS5 and PS4 games and to give a better idea, CarX Drift Racing Online has a better player count than the new Square Enix game.

While Foamstars might not be doing well right now, it received Season 2 – Groovy Disco bringing more content to the game.
