HONOR enters flip phone market with HONOR Magic V Flip

Estimated read time 2 min read

HONOR is bound to disrupt the industry once again with the imminent launch of the a new addition to the growing Magic lineup of the brand — the HONOR Magic V Flip, their first foray into the Flip Phone market.

Seeing success in the foldable market with the HONOR Magic V2 that launched earlier this year, it seems that the brand is set to establish itself on the flip phone side of things. HONOR confirmed that the Magic V Flip will launch in China this June 13, 2024. While we don’t have any information if the flip phone will reach the Philippine shore, HONOR Philippines Vice President Stephen Cheng did comment on the move by the brand.

“We’re still waiting for updates regarding the availability of HONOR Magic V Flip and if it will come to the Philippines. This is exciting news for HONOR fans should we have a go signal. Therefore, stay tuned!”

UnGeek personally reached out to HONOR Philippines’ PR contacts and were given the same vague answer. But, with how aggressive the brand has been over the past year, we wouldn’t be surprised if they did manage to bring the flip phone here.

While details are sparse, we do know that the HONOR Magic V Flip will come with a large cover screen and have 3 fashionable color variants: Camelia White, Champagne Pink, and Iris Black. From the Official China website, we’ve also come to learn that the devices will have anywhere from 12GB – 16GB of RAM and 256GB/5125GB/1TB options for storage. Of course, RAM and Internal Memory iterations change per country so we’ll have to wait for official word from HONOR Philippines should they decide to release it locally.

What’s interesting is a High-Fashion/ Haute Couture version of the phone at 16GB + 1TB Variant. Very few info can be extracted even from the website itself.

Stay tuned for more on the HONOR Magic V Flip and follow HONOR Philippines’ official Facebook page for up-to-date information.
