Honkai Star Rail Version 2.3 is launching on June 10

HoYoverse finally confirmed that Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.3 updates titled “Farewell Penacony” will be released on June 19, 2024.

The highlight of this new update is the highly-anticipated new characters, including the Stellaron Hunter, Firefly and the key IPC figure, Jade. Along with these two characters, the update also features “Divergent Universe,” a new project within the Simulated Universe that will be conducted by Mr. Screwllum.

The first of the two new characters is the 5-star character Firefly of the Stellaron Hunters. She is a Fire-Type character who can summon her SAM armor and leap into the air, with the SAM attacking all enemies within a certain range.

What’s more, SAM will feature two forms, with the initial form consuming HP when using her Skill, though it replenishes her Ulitmate energy. Meanwhile, the second form called Complete Combustion activates when Firefly uses her Ultimate. In this form, Basic Attacks and Skills are enhanced, with her Speed and Weakness Break also stronger.

Next up is Jade, a senior manager in the IPC Strategic Investment Department. She is Quantum-Type 5-star character, and her skill allow her to forge a binding agreement with an ally, making them her “Debt Collector.” Each attack by Jade or the Debt Collector will allow Jade to accumulate Charges. When fully charged, Jade can unleash a follow-up attack against all enemies. As for her Ultimate, deals damage to all enemies while enhanced her follow-up attack.

As for the Divergent Universe, HoYoverse describes it as:

“Aboard the Radiant Feldspar, a new project within the Simulated Universe, “Divergent Universe” will be conducted under the guidance of Mr. Screwllum, utilizing technology from his home planet to bring gameplay improvements. For instance, the “Arithmetic Mapping” function in the Divergent Universe testing removes character download limitations. If a character’s level is below the current Equilibrium Level Cap, it will automatically increase to meet the cap. The update also introduces the “Equation” feature, where combining buffs from two different Paths grants corresponding combat abilities once the required amount is achieved. Additionally, when facing defeat in the Divergent Universe, Trailblazers can now restart challenges without needing to force-stop the game. With the new Restart Challenge option, players can regroup and give it another shot, allowing for more strategy and playability, as well as providing a richer, more fun gaming experience.”
